Expanding?

I'm thinking of expanding the cage by using grids to make a contained space. That's confusing, I'll explain!
They're in a decent sized room, so if I open up the ground floor, so they can toddle round freely (but with grids) they'll have a nice expansion. So, good idea? Mats, correx?

Someone on the forum uses tarpaulin, then puppy pads with the grids around it. You can make the space as big as needed.

SO many ideas...but oh nooo..
Expansion = more space for toys.

I use a cheap group sheet, towels then fleece.Works great for me

For our run we use. Plastic picnic sheet (from dunhelms cut to any size you want) then fleece. Works fab but smells after a few days, so needs fleece changing

Sport_billy what do you use to absorb the urine? Wouldn't the fleece get saturated?

Mine live in a puppy pen with a tarpaulin on the floor then puppy pads on top

I would love to do this! Our girls love their puppy pen and have much more room! but I worry about the dogs (we keep the dogs totally separate from the piggies)!

It cost us next to nothing as we already had a couple of pens. The biggest expense is the puppy pads but well worth it as they are easy to change

I have tried several and the B&M pads are definately the best, nice and thick
