I have spent the day building the pigs a new c and c cage. I've been planning it for ages and I'm really pleased with the result. More importantly, so are they! Jeff has been running numerous circuits, and the girls keep popping up and down the ramp to find the hay...

Happy piggies, happy piggy owner :)

Hi,

I got the url to your pictures and can see them. To get them to appear on here, go to the picture on flicr and go to "Share". Click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode". At the bottom where it has the buttons for either HTML or BBCode, choose BBCode. The box with the code in will change and will start with [url . Copy and paste that into here!

Your cage is massive! You have very spoilt pigs :)

Ok, I'm going to try again...

That's better! We've reserved a little girl called Ruth from a nearby rescue, so hopefully it won't be too long before she can move in, if introductions go well!

Aww, I love your cage and piggies! By any chance is that the little black piggy from NAWT?

The top level is built with grids underneath, and just to be sure I added the grid that you can see by the ramp...it's surprisingly sturdy even with all three of them jostling around up there! The fleece is going well so far although it's early days. The moisture goes through fine, I just change the top layer every morning and sweep up poos whenever it's looking bad (usually a couple of hours after teatime!) I'll let you know in a few days if I'm still happy with it...

Yes, Ruth is from NAWT! We're going down to visit her again today...

AWWW! I saw her on the website and she is absolutely adorable! Lucky you! I hope the introductions go well. x)
I've been doing a lot of research and I think that if I do adopt another piggy, it would be a neutered boar as I already have two sows and as one is quite old it may be easier to introduce a boar to them.

Good luck!

Yes, we didn't think Poppy (our boss pig) would tolerate an older guinea pig joining the gang, as she and Pomegranate (last rescue pig, old lady) didn't always see eye to eye! But we're hoping she'll be fine with a little 'un. We'll take it slowly and see what happens. Getting a neutered boar sounds like a good plan for you...and there are so many of them around...
