This is the first time I have ever seen such behaviour in a pig!

I picked up Jimmy from an adoption centre this year, and I think he needs some kind of friend with him because he's always looking to come out and demand attention from climbing and biting at his bars.

I put him in an outside 'ark' with an outside lock. I looked out in disbelief a few moments ago to see he had managed to break the lock off and was out, had managed to find the hutch at the other end of the garden, and was trying to 'get in' with the other guinea pigs George and Ringo! Never seen anything like that before! Luckily his friendly nature meant he was happy to see the human and walk into my arms!

It is I suppose- he is very friendly and I don't think he had nasty intentions, he's always very interested in the other pigs. But it's worried me quite a bit, imagine if he got stuck under somewhere like the shed, or simply didn't find the hutch and ended wandering off. Couldn't believe it when I heard his talking and saw him out next to the hutch!

Poor boy - he is really starved for a companion and attention! :))

PS: Many of our piggy bank recommended rescues offer to date and bond single boars under expert supervision, so that the piggies decide who they want to get on with. That minimises your risk of ending up with fall outs and maximises your chances at finding just the right compatible boarfriend. For that, it is certainly worth going that little bit further afield!

Yes, it's something I posted about on here a month or so back. Will definitely get him a Boar friend!

I'm in Essex. Does anyone have a recommendation of a nearby place that would have the knowledge and experience to bond him?
