For a while now, Minja's been able to escape the cage/room on different occasions. It's a 2x7 c&c. She and Ginny (thought it's mainly her who seeks adventure) knows how to open the doors. She wanders around and if no one's there, she'll wheek as loud as she can until someone's come up. It seems the only reason she does it is to notify the water's ran out or the hay needs topping lol. She just woke me up to do the latter

This would be OK as the house is piggy proof and often gives them the chance to wander (with me here, of course) but we have a dog now and despite how she doesn't care about the piggies (save for their droppings :xd:), there's still the chance. It seems she breaks out of the cage by aggressively shoving at the bottom connector. I don't want to apply tape in case she chews through, and I don't have any reusable ties for the minute.

Thanks :)

What about cable ties? You can just cut them off. At least you would sleep easy. One of our dogs is rather keen to investigate the piggies. Luckily they have their own room (no dogs allowed).

I thought cable ties too, you can even get metal ones that can't be chewed (but I don't know the cost of those).

Thanks for the ideas! She hasn't broken out since I posted this thread. Other than the door (I'll need to invest in something for that), she can't get out :) I'm thinking it was just me not clicking the connector shut, but I'll buy some reusable ties on Monday from the shop. Poor Min is going to the vet again actually on Monday as well :(

:( Had to cancel vets. Turns out the car's license needed something and we'd risk £1000 fine if we went out without waiting. I feel horrible for cancelling
