So this morning I was woken up by a guinea pig sitting on the outside of her cage making "feed me" noises. Apparently over night she chewed a hole in the corex and got out this morning. (Maybe I should change her name to Harriet Houdini)

Anyway, what should I do about this so I don't have another escape attempt?

Wow she is very clever! Was there a grid in place too?

There is a grid there but it's one that has larger squares. I ran out of the smaller ones. The boar never tried to get out. Even still after the sow's escape he hasn't noticed that it's a possibility. It was kinda cute in a way because she was stretched out tall trying to get to me in my bed and talking to me. More like yelling at me to feed her haha

bonding boundaries... she may have overstepped them :))

Yeeaaahhh....I should have put her back in the cage so as to not reward her for that behavior. But unfortunately I caved and snuggled with her in bed for a half hour. She likes to burrow under the blankets and sleep up against my stomach.

I think its safe to say she likes you... I wouldn't worry... we all let our piggies get away with more than they should :)

It'd be interesting to know what her home life was like before I rescued her from the shelter. Maybe she's so cuddly cause someone is finally paying attention to her.

if you have any more wide spa e grids you could double them up do holes smaller
