Asked for metronidazole for my piggy with an upset stomach. All other avenues ventured. Been given eradia oral antibiotic. Just querying. Is this the right medication and also is it right that it’s a coloured liquid with bits in? Was expecting a creamy colour?

It is metronidazole, but one specially formulated for dogs. I can't see why it wouldn't be okay though. What dose have you been prescribed?

That seems a small dose, but your version may be stronger. I've previously given 0.5 ml of Metronidazole Susp 200mg/5ml, twice daily
