Just wanted to say thanks to whoever it was sugested this.Went and bought one for £9 in the sale.My two guineas love it and go in it every day. They sit quietly in their beds in their cage and as soon as I put them in their run they popcorn and run round, they are different little piggies when they are in there.

Yes that's the one,I have lined the bottom with a plastic tablecloth as base is not waterproof, then i put fleece on top.I have made a little hole in the fabric to hook the water bottle on.

Does anyne know how big this is? It may be of some use for indoors if you don't need a covered cage :)

Problem solved! I found it on the product reviews, it's 42x42, same as a 3 x 3 c & c.

I was coming on to post the same thing!
Bought one a few weeks ago, after reading about it on here!
It is a great space for my 2 to run around in. I have put their water bottle in a sock and clipped in onto the top in a corner, to save having to make any holes in it.
Good tip about the plastic tablecloth, I currently have loads of newspaper then fleece on the bottom, but worried about it smelling eventually.

Ooooh...just had a look and it looks great! :)

Does anyone know what it's made of? Is it easy to fold down for storage, inbetween use? And how small does it fold down to? I don't have the room to leave it up all the time.

Oooh that is fantastic, I need something to let the guineas run around in in winter when it's too cold out! I'm liking the look of the pop up paddling pool too as that will be waterproof!

I have the multi coloured ball pit. It's such a great thing. I line it with newspaper then cover the newspaper with a duvet cover. I was actually going to post asking who has one and what is done regarding water. At the moment I have been holding the water bottle for them and letting them take it that way but not ideal.

How would you clip it to the corner? I think I would prefer that option to the making a whole in the pit.

Here is a video clip of my two in the pit. Would like to see photos of other peoples to get ideas. I have started putting a folded fleece in the middle, they like to burrow inside.

Isn't it funny how you start looking at things in a whole new way with piggies in your life :))? I was at IKEA the other day and looked at everything with piggy slave eyes... "Hm, this storage box could make a hidey, these shelves a good run ..."

Sandra, your pigs certainly love darting around there! It's lovely to see :)

Out of interest, how old are your pigs? Yours definitely love that space but I was wondering if it might be too small for 2 adults to run about in (I think it works out as approx 106x106cm). I guess as long as there aren't too many toys then they can still stretch their legs but it's a shame it's not a bit bigger.

Snowball is approx 15 weeks and Basil is approx 17 weeks. Their cage is the Ferplast 100 which I don't think is big enough. We got it when we got Snowball as we had no plans of getting another piggie. Unfortunately we are in a one bedroomed council flat and there is no room to get a bigger cage for them. When the ball pit is down we have barely room to move around the living room. We also have a budgie whose cage takes up a bit of room.

Well Snowball and Basil clearly adore their new ball pit, that's for sure :)

If you feel that their cage isn't as big as you'd like, then it's even more fab for them to have the ball pit as an extra space and a change of scenery. I understand how it is to be limited on space. (I am too, hence my questions about folding it away.)

I wouldn't worry too much. An extra large indoor run is obviously the ideal (for those with space) but I think as long as you're giving them a stimulating and fun space then that's what really counts. Sounds like the ball pit is working out perfectly for you all.

Is there a way you could keep the ball pit out and have the cage inside it?
maybe on a low table with a ramp so they have all the space in the pit plus the cage space on top?

Just bought one, thanks for the tip! Just got to work out how to waterproof it and fix a bottle!

I have put the waterbottle into a sock, and clipped the sock to the corner of the run with a plastic bulldog type kitchen clip (from IKEA I think), seems to work ok.

can someone put a link up for the pit? I'm not sure what or where i'm supposed to search ?/

Rosierum, That's a really cute video of your two in theirs. It does look like they have enough space....I'm wondering if perhaps I'll get one too. From the dimensions it didn't sound that big but it's probably just my poor maths. I tried to visualise how big it would be, as my Yossi is quite a big boar and Little Bud is not so little these days either, but I think I underestimated.

Those who already have this ball pit...Would you say it's quite quick & easy to fold down? (i.e. if you had to fold it away every day would it still be practical or would it get too annoying?!)
