No. I have seen them though! They are expensive and look nice. But i was concerned on how big they are and how much ligh the Guineas would get.

They look funky but they are not worth it for the money and there is not adequate ventilation in the 'indoor' part and guineas shouldn't have free access to grass in the winter really, in my opinion. I think they would be too hot in summer and too cold in winter!

For a lot less money you could get a much more appropriate hutch - that's what I think!

I would have to agree with the above posts, there are far better housing alternatives and Eglus are exhorbitantly priced, you could get a really good quality made hutch for those prices.

I would not risk it. Mine go in runs in good weather but would not trust a run unsupervised. I agree with Sophie they look nice and are better for chickhens.
For half the price a good cage and good run and the guineas would be as happy!

I used to volunteer at a place which used eglus for rabbits and guinea pigs to use during the day - while they were adequate for daytime use like this, I certainly would not use them as an alternative to a hutch. The housing area is very small, and while this may "encourage natural burrowing behaviour", the whole area that the eglu covers isn't really enough, especially if it's going to be used as a hutch and run combined. I certainly would never keep an animal locked in the housing area, as there is no light or ventilation. At the very most, if you got one it should be for use as a run during the day only, and it's not really worth it at that price.

Thanks Sophie - I'm enlightened !

Can see why people would be tempted - kind of cute to look at but very little living space and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE !

Think I'll stick to my cages and runs made by my poor long suffering hubby - I dont have to pay for those :x

The trouble is with hutch / run combos that the run part can't really count as permanent 'space' or square footage as they won't go out if it's windy, rainy, cold (and I wouldn't let them have the choice in winter months anyway).

You'd be better off, in my opinion, with a good size hutch - 5' x 2' for example, would be a lovely size for a pair (is that how many you've got?) and a separate run, so they can go out during the day and be put to bed at night and in winter their hutch will be large enough as permanent space. That's what I think. I'm sure others may disagree.

i agree Sophie,an attached run is pointless in bad whether and they would be better off with a larger cage with no run attached x
