Hi,
I'm new to this forum.... In fact, I've never used a forum before! does anyone have any experience of housing their piggies in an omlet eglu hutch? I would love to know how people review them as they are quite expensive so before I infest I would love some honest opinions! Thank you

In the past I have had outdoor bunnies in one of these in a vastly extended run. The bunnies loved it, they loved the freedom as it was completely safe (inc the run) so they never needed to be shut in and it was snug in chilly weather, however I really don't think I would keep pigs in it, they are far too sensitive to temperature and I can't see how you could tame them as handling from one of these is very difficult and would be much harder with shy pigs than with friendly bunnies. We dug the base of the run in for the bunnies so they weren't on a wire floor, but I really don't think its pig friendly.

It's ok, the thread was only started on 1st March this year and it's good to hear views from people who have used them
Oops didn't notice dates on it, keep forgetting its 2015 already!
Yes opinions on them vary, lots of debates can be found online if anyone is researching them.

This is an older thread, but for the sake of those viewing it now with more recent comments: the eglu is not suitable for any animals. Too small, wire base, plastic does not regulate heat properly, tiny run. They aren't popular here I'm afraid.

plus there have been reports of it not being fox proof :(
