I'm not sure size wise, but I'd personally be worried about it getting really hot inside because its plastic? I'm not too sure?

I really dislike these. They are so expensive and too small without the run. A c and c cage is cheaper and you can make it a lovely size.

  • I would have to be up at the crack of dawn to open their door. Because there is no way of light coming in. They would be shut in a small dark box until you opened the door

Yes I think the marketing makes it sound great, but I would worry about them being too hot in summer, and no light when door closed. I wouldn't feel happy leaving them out in the run whilst I was a work or overnight either. Maybe it is sturdier than it looks, but I would have my reservations.

I'd be worried about the risk of heat stroke, to be honest. Also, it looks a little too small without the run.

Yeah things made of plastic, glass or metal tend to soak in heat and that's never good!

I know someone who uses one for chickens...whilst they are very secure, everyone is correct it's the plastic that is the problem because of the heat, and chew-ability.

Thanks for the replies. Dismissed this. and lucky thing too, just got a hutch from my little one's nursery. Will post on another thread about making it secure etc.
