my piggy has been itching a lot and i went to the vet with her two days and when i noticed a white bug walking around the black patch of her she has on her fur. they said they can’t do a checkup but they said that from what i’ve described then she has lice . i used a treatment they gave me.
she’s still itching but i think a tiny bit less. would she still be itching due to having lice? or is she itching cause she has irratated skin?
i’ve also noticed these white stuff behind her ears. is it dry skin from all the scratching? or do they look like some type of eggs ?

What is the name of the treatment you were given?

You say they couldn't do an examination but they prescribed something to treat the problem?
Sorry I am a bit confused.
Did they say what they thought the problem was (mites, fungal, dry skin etc)?
Most skin problems need several treatments spread out over a few weeks, but a lot will depend on the treatment.

we were given the “bob martin spot on treatment”.
they tried looking for the bugs i previously saw, and couldn’t find any more, but said that they are really sure that it’s lice since i described what i saw.

I personally would try another vet. Perhaps look at our vet locator for a cavy savvy one. The treatment you have been given is not a prescription treatment and the off the shelf treatments tend to be too weak to resolve the problem. In terms of mites and lice treatment needs to be repeated a couple of times at prescribed intervals to resolve the issue. It makes sense the medicine you were given though as no vet should be prescribing anything without examining the animal and vet appointments are able to go ahead at this time

how do i find the vet locator ?

I agree - id go to another vet for a proper hands on examination and diagnosis and if necessary a prescription strength treatment, not the one you have been given

OUCH! Please see a different vet. Bob Martin products are not known for being effective. :(

Here is our recommended vets locator: Vet Locator

Here is our information on guinea pig skin parasites. If you can see something pale and crawling, you are most likely dealing with lice but you will need a vet strength treatment. However, please accept that we cannot diagnose from a picture and are not qualified to: New guinea pigs: Sexing, vet checks&customer rights, URI, ringworm and parasites
