Edwards curly nails

My Edwards nails on his front feet are curling which my vet has said is due to his age. He’s 6 in November. Does anyone else’s older pigs have curly nails?

Jezzy floof has hideous curly nails, the vet said even her toe bones curl a bit due to her bad background, but it doesnt bother her anywhere near as much as it upsets me to look at! I think curlier thicker nails are quite normal in older piggies and as long as they have nice soft clean floors and somewhere to lie down and take the weight off their feet like all older folks need to the curly nails dont cause any discomfort

I think their nails do become thicker and curlier with age, a bit like humans

Betsy's front nails are quite curly and are a nightmare to cut. I think it'll soon be a Betsy wrapped in a blanket sausage roll style, 2 person job!

Four of our piggies have nails that curl like that. They are all older, so I guess it must be age related.

My Abyssinian Lola, almost 6, has always had curly nails since we adopted her nearly 2 years ago, but they're definitely worse now - I didn't realise it was an age thing!

My Toffee has slightly curly nails too. He’s only coming up to four though. Oddly enough, Fudge’s front nails don’t grow too much.

Yup, the ones on their hands are harder every time to cut as every time they are just that but curlier.
