My guinea pig has major fluid retention under its chin and its "armpits ".The vet gave him a diuretic, heart medication, and a supplement(vitamins and amino acid). Please help if u have any more information.
I thought he was only gaining weight. When he stopped eating we took him to the vet. He lost weight but his lower sides were still "fat".
The only other information I could find was large swelling underneath gunieapig told its an edema.
I got him in 2017 so he maybe 3. He is he.
After the vet visits his appetite is normal but doesn't drink any water. Has lost hair in the swollen parts. And has eczema because of the medication.
