Eating wood shavings is this dangerous?

I wasn’t sure which forum to put this in so I hope this is ok.

The local pet shop where I get my wood shavings from has recently swapped brands and I started the new bale on Friday. I’ve just seen Elizabeth eating the wood shavings! They’re not scented or anything so I don’t know by she’s doing this as they have enough hay. How do I deter her? Will it harm her? x
