A while ago, I put a clear plastic shower curtain underneath the bedding (we use reusable fleece bedding) to keep the floor from being stained from pee and lately one of my Piggies has been getting under her bedding and eating it. She is still eating all her food, drinking all her water, pooping the same and peeing the same. She is still running around and is still making all of her normal sounds. I have taken the plastic out but I’m worried and if anyone has any suggestions, please share.

Has she been swallowing it, or just chewing it? If there’s a blockage, it will not be evident right away. I know from experience that even repeated X-rays don’t always show anything. Watch her the same way we usually do. Look for issues during daily poop sweeps, and take note if she turns down food.

Hi
Unless she has eaten a real lot, it will hopefully not cause any damage. Some piggies can be junkies for plastic.

Please try to get her to a vet asap if she is looking ill.
