eating correx

Hi all ,
we would like to know if anyone else here has the problem with their piggies eating the correx in their c & c cage ?

the main culprits are the 2 boys but were nearing whits end with the constant nibbling away of the correx because the 4 girls are feeling left out and having a go too !

Bless the little darlings , you build them a nice big c & c cage , line it with correx and vet bed and this is how they repay you pmsl

Yes Yes! Roland is Also the main culprit and Dory has a go when he comes over to visit the girls. My lovely new cage has many holes munched out of it! Ramp still looking ace though ;-) Xx

Yes, glad I'm not the only one with nibbly pigs. I see other people's C & C cages on here and they look so beautiful but you look and mine and all the edges are nibbled.

Mine were too and I was worried about the plastic getting stuck in their guts so until we build them a wooden house and ditch the correx I have put folded cardboard in the nibble spots and they chew on that now instead. Obviously it needs replacing regularly. :{

ok , have temorarily solved the problem for now , not an ideal solution but have curled a log tunnel very tightly around the offending corner ( it was between the hay loft and main run that was getting nibbled )
It was comical to see 6 confused piggies ( 3 in both cages ) staring at there wooden tunnel on edge curled round there "chew" corner , just cant help wondering how long it will take them to realise just how much chewable correx is available !
Our concern was for the piggies insides and if they were chewing because of an illness or deficiency !

Glad were not the only ones with the problem , thanks for the feedback guys !

The only thing I can recomend is fleece cage liners, as they cover up all that corex.
