I was just about to place my regular Fitch order, but they’ve stopped doing 20kg bales, and the 10kg bales work out to be more expensive. I had a look at their other options, and the easichick looks good. Cheaper (£11/20kg), and an internet search suggests that it’s ok for guinea pigs. Just wondered if anyone has tried it? A bit nervous of trying something new as I love Fitch, and know it’s safe!

Fitch First - Easichick 20kgs

Update: a bit more research and it would seem it’s *not* suitable for guinea pigs as it’s made from pine. I’ll stick with Fitch!

Easibed is the same but for horses ,it is safe to use with guinea pigs.its very similar to softchip.i have used it and i like it as a bedding.i believe boss hogg uses this bedding.

Ok, interesting! The thing I read said it was made from pine pulp. Is it not piney enough to bother guinea pigs then? Or is the easibed better than the easichick?

it is the same bedding.easichick is marketed for hens, birds, usually sold in 10kg bales.it does not have a strong pine smell, and it is a wood fibre bedding and not a pulp.it is not disimilaer to aubiose bedding.
