Ear Scabs

Hi Everyone,
I've noticed recently that one of my pigs has some scabbing on the top of his ear and inside. I was curious what others thought of this. He has recently had a new cage mate (also male) for about 3 weeks now and they have been getting along good. It doesn't appear that they are fighting and it just maybe a scratch. I'm wondering if anyone has seen something similar and have some information.

The scratch is very faint, otherwise I can’t see any scabs. I would get piggy seen by the vet just to be on the safe side.
 
I do know that a brief scuffle can cause unintentional injury but also that if your boys are properly falling out it would probably be a lot clearer! If you are happy that they are getting on with each other it might just be from an initial altercation. But as has been said if you are worried see a vet, especially if more scabs appear.
