I've 3 girls. Sadly one passed away not too long ago.

But I've noticed the newish one of the group has been licking the other older girls ear from her friend passed.

I've checked her ear and they are fine. She does it with both of her ears.

That normal?

Hi

It is perfectly OK. It is the most gentle way of saying "I am the boss but I also want to be your friend".

It's okay... it's an affectionate gesture. Pigs will lick/nuzzle ears as a way of saying "I want you to be part of my group."

I love watching ear licking in my herd. It’s such a sweet way of saying I’m your friend but I’m also the boss. I also call it a bit of power grooming.

It’s so sweet to watch them.
My Priscilla does it to her husboar Micah when he gets overexcited .

I’m so sorry for the loss of your other girl but it’s lovely to hear the other 2 are happy together.
