Dusty Hay and Shake Hay

I got a bale of Dusty Shake hay that is compressed 60 lbs bale. It’s all little bits of hay. Do I just throw it in the compost heap or would you guys use it? Is there any other uses for it?

Dusty Shake hay is not something I have heard of here in the UK. If it smells nice I would use it, maybe in combination with other hay

Be extremely careful with the amount of dust. Short strands are not too bad (as long as it is not all the hay they are getting) and are just like redigrass but if it is dusty that will cause respiratory issues if they are snuffling through it.
