Hi everyone!

I just have a question. I know that hay dust can cause piggies to have stuffy noses and all that, but can a dusty house cause this as well? My piggies are in my basement suite with me and I have to admit it’s a little dusty. Their cage however is not (fresh fleece bedding every 3 days, oxbow hay) but I’m just wondering if normal house dust would effect them? My girls have had a bit of a stuffy nose for the past few days, no other symptoms of a URI (and they were just treated for one two weeks ago) so I’m just curious if this type of dust could bother them? Even though they are not exactly sticking their faces in it as with hay😂 thanks in advance !

I think that's teeny bit of dust won't hurt, but if the dust is floating visibly, in big amounts, and the piggies are getting stuffy noses, it may be worth getting something like an air purifier to minimize the dust if you're concerned :)

Yes I did some research and bought a humidifier because it weighs the dust down so I can see where I need to dust and so it’s not in the air😂 thank you!
