I'm having a bit of trouble with my boys atm, duke is 1 year 4 months old and Archie is coming up to 8 months, I got Archie because Duke's brother died who he lived with all was fine and has been they got along, no fighting or anything for the past few months but it seems Archie is constantly rumbling at duke, and Duke is just flying at him and jumping on him I dont think he's biting him, but theres a lot of teeth chattering, and hes making Archie squeal like a girl!

Am I best seeing how it goes and if it gets worse move Archie into another cage on his own above Duke?.. they keep waking me up at night with their constant bickering!

I'd just monitor them. Obviously Archie is going through that hormonal stage and Duke is just putting him in his place. As long as they haven't had a fur ball fight just keep watching. It is a pain when they disturb your sleep but if you seperate now you may not get them back together again in the future. :)

Good luck, I know what it is like, I had to seperate my two at 8 months. I'm hoping to rebond though. :)

yeah i really dont want to seperate, because i dont want lonely piggies.. i said to my mum i think he's going through 'that stage' he is just constantly rumbling at duke n duke is getting wound up!

I checked Archie over this morning and he has no indications of duke biting him or anything, i think he's just jumping on him! luckily dukes small in comparison so wont do much damage! lol

Like Louise says, I would just stick with it and see how it goes. Hopefully Duke will calm down once Archie knows his place. Even some of my long established pairs have a blow up from time to time. I let them get on with it as long as I know none are getting injured :)

og that sounds like me 4 boys ruben gets right upset if the others touch him , they are allways rumbling at each other - and this is normal behavior for my lot so dont warry mine have been togther from birth and are now 10 months old

as long as there are no injuries or blood drawn just keep a close eye on them. just boys showing off too many hormones, perhaps play gentle music next to their cage to help calm them. i know sometimes this calms jessie down. good luck with your boys. hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-* to the boys.
