Hiya, I've been treating my Guinea pig for a while with Daktarin on the ears and nose daily and baths with anti-fungal shampoos and his ears are looking different. My vet told me I was doing everything right and that he didn't need to come in as I had supposedly cleared the infection. His nose is completely fine now but his ears are going white and dry. Is this just dry skin or has the infection come back?

Hi!

I would have that checked for fungal. it could be dry skin if you have applied cream too thickly - but we can only guess and not diagnose.

Ah thank you! I have been applying cream quite thick so it may be my fault 😬 I'll get it checked though, thank you!
