Dry skin on my piggie

Hello
I went to the vet with my guinea pig today due to the fact that I have been decovered what looks like dry skin...
The vet tested the area and it is not fungal nor mites.
He said it is a bacteria going on and he gave me Clorexyderm shampoo for cats and dogs.

Does anyone had past experience with this?
I just want to make sure it is safe to use it on my guinea pig.
