One of my piggies has a some dry skin on his front paw, and I’m just wondering if I can but some Nivea on it? It’s completely not scented and has no perfume products or anything of that sort. I have been debating it and I just want to see if it really is just dry skin and will go away when moisturised or if it’s an deeper problem and he needs to go vets. Thank you xo

Please to do not home treat on spec; it usually doesn't achieve anything but make a diagnosis much more difficult - and it certainly doesn't heal any issue.

Here are some photos. My other pig had it slightly less on one of his legs and it just went by itself in a few days

Seeing the pictures, I would recommend to have your girl checked for a potential fungal skin infection.

Please keep in mind that ringworm is just one of them but it is the most known because it is the most aggressive and contagious - and the most prevalent problem in new pet shop or breeder piggies.

We have got a very detailed ringworm care guide if that becomes necessary. It does actually work.

I would also suspect ringworm. Please have them checked by a vet for formal diagnosis & treatment.
