Dry patch on upper tummy

I got 2 male guinea pigs 3 weeks ago and have recently found a dry, hairless patch on one of their tummies. Does anyone know what this is and if i should take him to a vet, thanks

Hi!

Please have them vet checked. It could be a fungal skin infection/ringworm but we cannot diagnose from a picture.

How long have you had your boys? If you have had them for less than 2-3 weeks, then you can reclaim any vet cost from the pet shop you bought them from as part of your customer rights. Please do not make the mistake of treating on spec with low dosed pet shop stuff and be very good with your own hygiene.
