I just moved to texas so it's been very hot. I've noticed my guinea pig has 1 paw with dry skin just as a human would with dry feet. The edge of it feels dry and hard. They have air conditioning and are not hot though. Is this normal? How can I help it be less dry? Would a humidifier help at all?He has a vet visit in around 3 weeks so should I wait for the vet or should I try some home remedies like coconut oil? I've circled the dry patch with the edge of it slightly sticking out. Thanks!

Don’t put anything on his paw. It may be the start of spurs. As long as it doesn’t hurt him you can leave well alone.

Do these look like feet spurs? It has gotten worse.

If you are worried, please have a vet check carried out to determine whether they are the start of spurs or whether it is a different problem
