Driftwood

we live by the sea and the children often bring wood up from the beach. My DD wondered if we could use it in the GP's run but I am unsure as we don't know what wood it is and also it would vvbe very salty.

Am I right?

Interesting question!
My understanding is that some woods/branches are poisonous to piggies so the wood itself could be harmful. Moreover, driftwood could be subject to salt, pollution and chemicals that could also be harmful to your piggies. I wouldn't consider it safe at all to put in your piggies' run.
