I’m not the best at getting up in the morning so I like to prepare as much as possible the night before. Two of my piggies are on metacam twice a day and one is also receiving Baytril twice a day. I was wondering if the medication would be affected if I drew it up the night before?

May get a little leakage plus medication would settle or split. Most meds’ need you to shake to mix it properly so not easy if already in a syringe!

I thought as much lol. It’s a doddle giving Sooty his metacam as he absolutely loves it to the point where he tries to pull the syringe out of my hand lol. Stewie on the other hand thinks I’m trying to poison him and makes things as difficult as possible :)) thanks for your reply.

I’ve found drawing up a little Vit C liquid then their meds followed by another wee drop of Vit C helps! Just make sure you draw up maybe a ml followed by correct dose of meds followed by another ml of Vit so they get something pleasant at the beginning and at the end!
Certainly helps with the awful taste of Baytril!

Ooh that’s a good idea, I’ll give that a try.
