So i have bought a double/two tier cage for my guineas. They are still all separated at the moment due to being neutered but i am wondering if anyone knows how i would plug the whole in the top of the cage to make the two tier cage into two separate cages on top of each other. The double cage is just over 140cm each in length. I am wanting to do this as i will eventually have a male and female pair in each cage.

Could you cut a piece of wood to size and slot it into the gap somehow? Or, when you stack them you sit the top one on something so the hole is covered? Sorry it’s a little vague, I can’t picture the cage. Does it not come with a ramp you can use to close the hole?

Cut out a piece of floor Lino to fit the whole of the base of the cage to cover the hole were the ramp goes, then it won’t be inclined to move around, we did this after Ted had dental operation and he was a bit wobbly on his feet and needed hospital cage. Also a single storey good for transporting on holiday.
Most carpet shops will sell you an off cut for pennies!
