I'm still not sure if one or both girls are pregnant. One looks fatter but then stretches out and i think no you cant be.
Anyhoo, my boy is still on his own and he seems to be getting more and more reclusive. I think he really misses company.
These are my options

1) wait to see if the girl(s) are pregnant and hope theres a male to put with dad
2) Neuter dad and put him back with the girls (would they even accept him back?)
3) boar dating (no idea where the nearest one to me is though)

All 3 options have there advantages and disadvantages. I'm scared he wont be accepted and a fight will break out or that he wont accept a baby boar (if there is one) as hes still young himself. Help! We are dorset way if anyone knows of any boar dating rescues.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It seems as though you already know your options so I wont go on about them. There is a rescue locator tab on the tool bar at the top of the page so you can out in your postcode to find your nearest recommended rescue x

I'd say if he is getting lonely to take him boar dating to find him a friend. As Rosie and bramble said there is a tab on top to help you find your nearest rescue. Good luck with all your piggies

Hello and welcome,

Well you certainly seems to have a lot of stuff going on with your piggies.

I will tag @Wiebke for you as she may be able to give you some advice to help you make the best decisions for you and your piggies.

Good luck xx

Young piggies kind of grow in chunks, first sideways until they look really fat and the following week, they are long and thin...

As discussed before - all your options are perfectly feasible.

A neutered boar will be accepted back by any young sows, so you do not have to worry about that. If dad is next door with a look in through the cage bars and you also let him have some shared roaming time with any sons before the separation, he should accept any male babies with some excitement (provide a hideaway for babies in case any humping is getting a bit too much), but with ease.

As stated already, your two closest piggy savvy good standard rescues are Wheek&Squeak near Southampton or Little Pips Rehoming in Sidmouth. Contact details are in our rescue locator. Both rescues offer dating, like the vast majority of our recommended private rescues.
