Hi! I didn't know where to put this, but I think this might be the right spot...

So, today I cleaned (And I do mean cleaned) the cages. and I thought, well, why the territory is scentless (lack of a better word) I might as well try to get Mook, apollo, and squiggles use to eachother once again.

THIS TIME, I succeeded! :<>

However, during the first initial interaction I managed to get a quick video on some of their behaviors that might help a few other people.

Not saying all guineas are the same, though, but.. It might help. (Sorry for the shakey camera and odd angles. I suck with videos. Also, loud audio)

Right now the two boys are grooming eachother, lol!

Sorry if I am raining on your parade, but I myself would be very worried about fights breaking out at any moment watching your video.

There is far too much high scale aggressive behaviour going on to call it a success and to leave the boys unsupervised at any time!

Please remember that it can take over two weeks for a boar bonding to be stable and fights can break out any given time.

Ohh dear. Sorry hun that looks like very threatening behaviour between them, the teeth chattering/ nose offs are very aggressive towards one another, please keep an eye out for all of them, i know this isnt what you want to hear but can you split them up over night with mesh dividers? Looks like there is going to be a very big disagreement soon.

Boar bonding is hard, stressful and I know how much it means to want it to work. But sometimes not all boars can get on with one another, and its in the best interest of the piggies to keep them happy and separate.

Hope it works out for you all. x

I too also felt very uncomfortable whilst watching your video. Your piggies look like they could break out into a fight at any moment and none of them look very happy at all.

You may find these threads useful re behaviour/tips on keeping two boars together:

It is very rare that boar trios work i'm afraid and even two boars will require lots of room and two of everything (see thread above).

Hope this helps and please do ask us for more questions should you need some further advice :) there are some very experienced members on here regarding bonding.

I appreciate all of your concerns, everyone. Don't get me wrong, but I read the stickies on the forum and what not and they said foot stomping was normal and so was teeth chattering? I'm confused...

Also, they seem to be doing fine, lol. there hasn't been any bad behavior at all between them. No foot stomping or teeth chattering or nose offs or what not.

OH! and quick thing, there's actually TWO of those cages linked together, not just one. I just separated that one from the others (you can see one at the bottom next to the rabbit pen) so it's 16 square feet of room between the three.

just keep you eyes open and check for cuts on a daily basis. also when I'm bonding pigs i'll use an entire room of the house so they can easily avoid each other
