Hi

I have just read some of the threads for dominant behaviour but thought I would still post. I have never had two females doing it. They started before tea, it is mainly Titch who was been bullied a bit at the beginning but she is doing it more than Ruby now. Following Ruby around the cage, squeaking alot, following into the cave, then the tube, it is the nose offs that I worry about. So I just moved them to a C and C cage 10 minutes ago 5 x 2', two of everything but they are still doing it. It isn't Ruby really, Titch just keeps goading Ruby. Will they calm down? Why has Titch just suddenly gone like it, it is as if she has been on the wine gums. It can't be space. Any help please.

Thanks, I read it but it is when they do the head to head thing and as I have never had it before think are they going to stop or keep on at each other. Then suddenly they stop and eat.

It could be because their in a new cage therefore none of their smells are there and they are just asserting their dominance again.

When I had two piggies it was like this all the time. I think the dominant one is always anxious to assert herself.

Many thanks for your replies, feel it has helped especially reading about sow behaviour. An hour after their new cage, they were in the wooden cave laying out together when I put two caves in, I couldn't believe it. They are sat quiet in separate caves again now. Titch has calmed down again now. If it weren't for me joining the forum I would have never known about c and c cages, I think they love having more room, maybe that was part of the problem. Silly x.
