I have a feeling that after a few months of being happy to be submissive, Stewart, who is now approx. 7 months old, is wanting to challenge for dominance. The past couple of days he has been chasing and trying to mount poor Junior (aged 3), who has always been rather docile and not one for confrontation. Junior chatters his teeth rather loudly and raises his head, and that used to be a good enough deterrent for Stewart to stop. Now, it doesn't seem to be having the same effect.
Junior is having to retreat to hidey holes to get his peace, and when we heard a lot of scuffling I had to intervene in case there was biting involved. Neither shows the inclination to bite, but I know it's always a potential.

Has anyone else ever had a successful swap? Junior was the top pig with Casper as well and I don't know how well he'll adapt if he's made to be submissive. On their date at Milhaven, Junior was in charge from the first moment and made it clear.

What can I do to ensure both piggies are happy? Stewart seems happy enough but Junior doesn't like this one little bit!
What happens if they fall out?

I have had a dominance swop in my two girls - they are both 3 and got at the same time - the swop happened about 18 months ago - the girls still get on well though.

My girls swapped too and they get on fine, still, although i don't know whether it might be a bit different when it happens with boars.

Girls are generally much more laid back with the dynamic, particularly as you can group them and that can frequently change and swap over. I know boys are not quite as easygoing! The fallouts I've heard of are almost always boars
Anyone got any advice for me?
