Junior Guinea Pig
Hi all!
My two girls Cinnamon and Smokey are a year and a half old. They live in a 4x2 C+C cage and have multiple hideys, water etc.
They've always got on alright, when they're in season they sometimes used to rumble but nothing major.
The last two seasons however they're rumbling constantly, bottom sniffing, Smokey will show her bottom (she's fairly long haired so I've never seen it before!) and there's been a bit of mounting and some lunging. I've not seen any biting touchwood. They settle down after a few days and go back to being fine with each other.
I know they're coming into adulthood, so is this normal dominance behaviour through their stronger season or is it a sign that they're going to fall out soon?
Thanks in advance! X
