So I was recently educated to the fact that in order for Guinea pig fleece to work you have to have a bath towel underneath. The only towel I got was my neighbors who used it to wipe off dogs paws. Would this be bad to use since the slight dog smell? Also not sure if this is the right thing to use. Thanks!

It doesn’t have to be towel underneath, it needs to be something which absorbs such as puppy pads, incontinence pads, mattress protectors etc.

I don’t personally like using towels - they take a while to dry and can cause more smell.
Others use towels without issue

I use towels but I cut up incontinence pads and use these underneath - the towels do need changing more than the fleece I have but it’s a cheap option. The smell from dog towels might not be good for piggies - maybe use a 60-90 degree wash to get rid of the smell.
