Ok I got this kenbel/run last year for my dog. He was only in it a couple of hours a day every few days. He hated it. Barked the whole time and chewed his way out. So now when I have clients at my home ( I'm a photographer) he gets locked in the bedroom.
At the moment my outdoor piggies are in this outhouse and come inside or outside in a run daily. Also this big tree is being cut down this year. The question... do I convert the outhouse or bring the kennel to where the tree will of stood? it will be for Tyrone abd 2 of his wives to be x x

I think it would be a great idea to use the dog kennel as a guinea home. With the warmer weather coming, it would be lovely for the pigs to have access to an sheltered outdoor run whenever they wanted.

I am not so sure about the dog kennel as a permanent home. The main reservation being temperature control. But I can't see quite how the living accommodation would work so you may be able to insulate etc from heat and cold. It would be a large run for them though!

Thanks. I was thinking just for the summer months as I think this winter they will all make it into the house. It's been great having them inside I am just fed up with the trail of hay and stray guinea pigs wandering around when Lucy ( 3 years) gets them out to play with or read too.
I was thinking putting lino in the housing area and maybe a low hutch. Would have to put extra mesh on the wire as we do get rats coming off the back field. I like the idea of the children being able to play them in there without them all escaping x x
