Hope there is still anyone alive! I need your help! I have quite the same problem, I just let my guinea pig Benedict walk a little bit as usual. In the past, there were no such problems like this, my pets got along really well. But today smf went wrong.. At first it seemed to me they were just playing, but then my Pomeranian started to behave strangely and bite guinea pig. I'm so scared, its weekend and I can't take her to the vets for a checkup. I immediately disinfected the wound, but maybe someone knows home tips in such situation, I've read here **LINK REMOVED** that sometimes dogs can behave like this because of the Mucus in their Stool who knows?

I’m sorry this has happened :( You can bathe the wounds in some salt water by mixing one pint of cool boiled water from the kettle with a teaspoon of salt but really your piggy needs to see a vet. She could be suffering from shock or internal injuries.
This is an old thread so you won’t get many replies. You’d be better to start your own thread x

I have moved your post to its own thread. The one you replied to was from 2018. We always advise people to start their own threads rather than reply to ghost ones.

You shouldn’t let your dog interact with your guinea pig, even when supervising. They’re different species with different ways of communicating. The reason doesn’t matter. I’m afraid you need to get your piggy to the vet, there isn’t really anything else you can do. If the issue is money, could you borrow from someone? If not that, what is preventing you from taking her?

Could you also post a picture of the wound?

Haha @Lady Kelly i always try to think of the best of people but I was suspicious 😆 thank you!
