Hi!
I’ve just spotted this on one of the guinea pigs.
I’ve got a vet appointment booked for Monday, but just wondering if any one has any clue what it is. Is it a fungal infection?
I can’t tell if it’s on the skin of the eyelid or just crustiness but the lid is also a little swollen.
With the earliest appointment being Monday is it something I should try and push forward at a different vets or is it ok to wait till Monday?
Also should I be separating her if it could be infectious, I don’t want to stress her or her sisters out unnecessarily
She’s otherwise happy in her self
Thanks

It does look a little swollen, only the vet can diagnose though.
No, don’t separate them. Whatever one has, the others have already been exposed to and separating them just causes stress to them which can lower the immune system and makes picking things up more likely
