Does she need a friend ?

I don't know much about guinea pigs .... I hold mine and give her a lot of attention but I am reading she would be even happier with a friend. She is around 2 years old. Should I get her a young friend .. or one her age ? Ant advice would be appreciated ... Thanks , Mike

You should definitely get her a friend. She will be much happier in the long run with a friend. If there is a rescue near you then you can always take her along to pick a friend she likes - regardless of age.

Or see if you can find a baby girl that she cam mummy and be in charge of?

You're definitely thinking along the right lines, guineas should be with other guineas.

I agree - if you can find a rescue within your reach, get a suitable girl from there.
