I have a neutered boar and a sow, both around 14 months ish. Generally I *think* that the boar is the dominant one of the pair, he seems to turf Jenny out of the hay box or tunnel when the fancy suits him. He also seems to take the veggies off her.
Yesterday I think she came into season. I've only seen them hump the once before but yesterday Timmy was pestering her and there was a couple of little humping frenzies, preceeded by Jenny essentially reversing in front of him and doing what I can only describe as "twerking". She turfed him out of the hay box and took his peppers more than once. He just let her. They had a couple of "nose offs" during floor time last night before bed (her nose higher than his, don't know who is the "winner", I presume the lower nose) but both snuggled together under the mat.
Today we are back to usual, she's in the tunnel, he is in the hidey and he pulled her lettuce right out of her mouth this morning. I've been trying to hand feed them, partly still working on socialising them, and partly to keep an eye on who is getting what since I think that Timmy is generally being a pita with the food. I've also added another hay source, so even if he flings her out of the big box, she has 3 other places to go.
So does this mean that she could be a bit more dominant because she had him where she wanted him with her twerking? Or am I misreading it all?
