Does anyone use any plug ins etc?

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone uses any pot pourrii, plug ins etc in the room where their cage is? I ask because the girls smell a little at times despite cleaning them regularly. Does anyone use anything?

You aren’t really supposed to use anything scented around guinea pigs (sprays, candles etc)

No... piggies do have super sensitive little noses... So i believe it isn't recommended..

The most I would use would be something natural like lavender and rosemary in a bowl. Nothing artificial!

Piggies have very narrow airways so it is best to avoid all scents nearby if possible.
Would it be possible to open a window and air thoroughly for a few minutes a couple of times a day instead?
Also how big is their cage and what bedding do you use?
Some types can get smelly quicker than others, so if we know more I am sure poeple will have lots of ideas.

They aren't even that great for people, honestly. Your best bet rather than masking odor is to explore different bedding options, timing of changing the bedding, etc. until you find something that you can live with. Prevention is better than cover-up here!
