Does anyone know how long cisapride and buprenorphine last once opened? Both the medications were dispensed in individual syringes for Ella but she didn’t need all of them and I still have quite a bit of cisapride and buprenorphine left over. If it’s not going to keep, I’ll throw the syringes away but if it keeps, I’ll keep them x

How is it contained?
I have never been prescribed an individual syringe of medication but assuming it is not in a bottle then I would be worried it is more susceptible to air/contaminants.

I would contact your vet as most medications for small animals are taken from a larger bottle etc. of medication and then dispensed accordingly, so it may have been open longer than when it was prescribed.

The medication is contained in individual syringes with caps on each syringe. May be I’d just be best to throw them all away and ask for fresh if needed in the future. It just seems like such a waste as there’s quite a few x

I am sure your best bet would be to give them a phone when possible so if it can be kept for, however long, then you haven't chucked it away for nothing.
The caps look quite secure so it may be the same as bottle prescribed medication.
