some of you may know that i knit and crochet items to be sent to SCBU's in the Uk and so far we have 20 hospitals on the go which is fantastic.

i am looking for help and i am wondering if anyone can

if you can knit or crcohet would you be willing to make some items

If you can't do any of the above but would like to help in other ways that would be brilliant

these are some of the items we are always looking out for

buttons
ribbon
wool

fininacal help is always welcome to as it goes towards postage costs

These items will be going to good use

pm me if you can help in anyway

If i can't post this message feel free to delete it

Thats well sweet! My daughter who is 12 years old was born 6 weeks early and she had to stay in hospital for 3 weeks. As she was in at easter some one knitted all the babies little chicks and I still have hers!

aw that is so sweet especially that you have kept them for so long. i think its a brillant.

I can knit and Crochet, but at the moment just don't have enough hours in the day for my work.

I will talk to my mum she crochet's real quick and may get time to do some bits

My twins were 5 weeks early but thankfully were quite big. 6 lbs and 6.13 lbs although new born was a bit big for them

But my friend had triplets 11 weeks early and the smallest was just over a 1 lbs, 2.3lbs and just under 3 lbs and was so gratefull for the clothes that were there for them
you do a great job well done

karen

Is there anyone else who would like to knit and crochet for us as we are getting busy now and we need all the help as possible.

I've just realised what SCBU is! Special Care Babies Unit.

I really like the idea of knitting but have never got into the swing of it.  There is a pattern I have I really want to do http://www.maggiesrags.com/freewitchhat.html

Also have a bit of a phobia about knitting kneedles - the X broke his leg last year & was using a knitting needle to scratch down his cast.  The needle fell on the floor & he picked it up & threw it onto his chair - he went to the loo came back & fell back into the chair & got the needle lodged 3 cm in his lower back.  I saw it all in slow motion.  Terrified isn't the word!  I feel faint just typing this!

I do realise that item wouldn;t go down well in a SCBU!
If I could knit I would def help you out. Instead I'll look around for some things to send you.
