we have viewed a house today and it seems good. there is a good sized bedroom that would be great for the piggies but we wondered how they would be in there, rather than downstairs in the lounge like they are now.

i feel like they wouldn't get as much interaction with us. when do you spend time with them and how much time.

we could put them in the lounge again, but seems a much better space in the bedroom for them. they would have the whole room just for them! :))

sounds absolutely great....but like you say i would miss them terribly.

I have mine in the dining room and also the dogs crates, but we are in there all the time and when we arent we are in and out etc, and I'm only in a little bungalow so they always hear us etc

upstairs is MILES away...... :(

;)

Ohhh I would love a room especially just a piggie room! you are so lucky!:))

We have our piggies in my son's room as he has the biggest bedroom, plus if they were in the lounge the dog would pester them.

I spend alot of time with them, me and my son do and he is out with his friends alot so I get to go up there sit on the futon with a cup of coffee and watch them etc:))

Also they get some peace time in there just to nap etc Ideally I wold like them in he lounge but it's not a problem in another room

I spend two hours in the morning with them, and same in the evening

They could live upstairs, and have some floor time with you downstairs. If you keep the bedroom door open they will hear you and the telly too. xx

we have ours in the spare bedroom, and they have masses of space. there is even room for a bigger extension to the cage. our piggies love it. we spend at least two hours in the morning watching them, and all evening, just watching them interact with each other. they get their own space and we get ours, we have already moved the ratties and the hamster out of the room so our piggies can have even more room! we think that it works really well, but each to their own :) :)p ;)

what we really enjoy is when we go to bed, we can hear our piggies chattering to each other. it is great to go to sleep with the sound of chattering piggies, and waking up to the same sound. ;) :)) :)

now they are in the same room as me all the time! i'm in all day, everyday. (virtual recluse! :red) i even sleep in the lounge now so i'm always with the bunnies and piggies. (again...:red :)))

they could go in the lounge again, just the house is bigger and the bunnies are going to be having free range of all downstairs. now we just have one room downstairs so i'm always here to keep the buns away from the piggies cage.

i know i could put a lid on the cage, but for some reason i don't like the idea of that.. :{ just because they like to stand up at the bars and everytime i walk past i give them a little head rub. (they always lie down when i do though for a full body massage! rolleyes:)))

Hi,

I haven't posted for ages, but I keep my girls in my room but don't actually spend much time in there, they get exercise time but mostly i am downstairs so they don't have company.

I have noticed since i have been in the house alone I have moved them downstairs it has been lots better for them. I thought it would be great in my room as they could have a permanment space for their run etc but they are still so nervous when you come in and they are alone all day:( . Downstairs they don't flip as much when you move across the room.

I do feel bad for them cos they will have to go back upstairs eventually. I need some kind of run thing I can put up in the living room for them for the evening

xx

there is a woman form nottingham on youtube called piggiepigpigs she has a whole bedroom decated to her pigs in a c&c cage you **** take a look at some of her videos there great

i think i'd need them downstairs with me! :)) i love having all the pets around us. just need to try and sort their cage out! bigger cage and possibly another piggy to join them! :))

We have our pigs in our third bedroom. When I say bedroom, I mean boxroom! It is known as 'The Pig Room' and they are quite happy in there. We are up there quite a lot back an forth so they see us there. As well as this, they also have their own company and are very happy piggies - my confident boys lounge around, the shy ones can come out and play without worrying that we are there to get them and Murray can put on his 'hard pig' act and only has to run away when he sees us coming!:)

I have a guineapig room, too! My other half likes to have "alone time" so i have "piggy time" It is usuaslly most of the day and most of the time I sit and talk to them or sing to them and have the laptop with me too. With this, even my new little ones are settling in really well and i'm so pleased. Give it a try :) You can always move them or change it

My piggies are under the stairs next to my lounge so lots of interaction. I'd miss mine in the spare as I find them really entertaining. As long you spend time with them I'm sure it'd be fine.

i have the rabbits aswell to don't want to miss spending time with any of them... i could always try and see how it went, but i know i would miss them loads. :))

mine used to live outside, then i moved into my own flat now they have their own room but the doors are open and we're constantly walking past and getting sidetracked by them, i think they like they're own room even if they have to share with a hamster, at the end of the day if you want them in the same room as you have them in there :))

they would have more space in the bedroom but less interaction. think we would have them in the lounge again! just make their veggie now and they stand up watching me in the kitchen and wheeking! :)) love it. :))
