I currently have my girls living in my living room and my boys in my spare bedroom. But I feel the boys miss out on my attention being in there.

My question is really does anyone have boys and girls in the same room (seperate cages obv) and if you do/ have what issues have you experienced?

I dont want to move them and find it upsets them having the girls close by.

Thanks
Amy

I have 2 boys & 1 girl in the same room, tho the girl is above the boys & have 1 boy with 2 girls above 2 single boys in my shed. I've also had a girl inbetween 2 single boys (in c&C's), 1 was quite happy, the other used to chew the grids but he did that wether it was boy or girl next to him :))

I've also had pairs of boys near girls before with no problems & have had the complete opposite, one pair of boys did their utmost to get out of their hutch at the slightest whiff of girls - it depends on your boys' personalities :)

I have girls and boys very near each other in a shed. The boys only seem to get over excited when I clean the girls out. I imagine the scent of the girls is released into the air and they get a whiff of it. Mind you, they do the same when I clean other boys out too!

I have 8 boys in the same room as my three ladies and there has never been a problem lol

Yep I have all my pigs in the shed 8 boars and 6 sows. I have three foster sows outside in a hutch now as they are really used to it and have always lived in a hutch. :)

I have a shed thats got boys and girls in. The groups I have are 2 boys, 1 boy (castrated) with girl and 1 boy (castrated) with 2 girls! All seems fine but only a week in with this set up!

Thanks to everyone for there replies - I am going to move them over this evening and build their new lino based cage

Fingers crossed my boys dont get to excited and start to fight

I have two girls in one large cage and two boys who live on their own. They are all in the same room and Ive never had any problems. One of the boys Mimsi spends his days trying to break through the bars of his cage to get in at the girls! The girls flirt terribly with Mimsi and kiss him through the bars!

Well so far so good - the girls and boys are now all in one room and everyone seems to be eating and just ignoring each other.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that it stays like this.:)

I had 1 of my 10 week old boys shaking his bum at one of my females today! Was quite funny to watch, she didnt even batter an eye lid!
