Do your piggies sleep eyes open or closed?

I have just found Belle, on a downward hay slope, fast asleep. Belle always sleeps eyes closed.


But i have never seen ebony's eyes close. I think all my other pigs have slept eyes closed - but i googled and see eyes open sleeping is common.



So - what do your piggies do?🙈
 
Most of mine seem to sleep eyes closed or mostly closed. I take it as a sign that they feel safe. Occasionally I do see someone staring blankly into space, usually when they've decided to take a sudden nap while standing in the open.

I'm not sure about the six quarantine piggies yet however, I don't see them sleeping usually because the sound of me opening the bedroom door makes them all pop up. Food?! Attention?!

I'm kinda curious what the blind one does now.
 
Mine do both... there are definitely eye-awake naps, but I have caught most of my pigs also dozing with eyes closed. A couple of mine would sleep eyes closed on our laps! I found that older pigs I had were more likely to sleep with their eyes closed or mostly closed... they were either more relaxed or just more tired! LOL!
 
Dennis used to sleep with his eyes open. He just had that "Lights are on but nobody's home" look about him. I caught Christian asleep a couple of times with his eyes shut. The 3 girlys sleep with their eyes open.
 
I've seen pig sleeping quite often with his eyes closed, Noodle on occasion with eyes closed too. Spaghetti on the other hand I would assume is an eyes open kind of pig! I actually rarely see her sleeping, she often wakes/moves when you go near.
 
Mine all do a mixture of both. It can be quite disconcerting finding them asleep with their eyes open as I’m never quite sure if they are still with us
 
Mine are a mixture.
Phoebe has hers open more often than not while Micah has his closed more often than not.
Can’t always tell with Priscilla who has black eyes in black fur!
 
Eevee always sleeps eyes shut. She’s an absolute angel fast asleep. I so,etikes worry she’s dead as she’s so deep asleep.

the boys always sleep with eyes open and Yugi and Joey seem to be a mix.
 
The boys have slept with their eyes closed before. It’s more Toffee than Fudge nowadays. I’ve not seen the girls eyes closed. Sleeping out in the open is enough for me ☺️
 
A mixture of both for my crew too.
Depends on the individual. Pabu is very relaxed and will sleep eyes open, the other 3 tend to be open or occasionally shut.
