do you wash your piggy fleeces and towels you may use for bathing etc, in the wash at the same time as your own clothes, or a seperape wash? Putting two fleeces in a wash on their own, for example, seems like a waste!

I don't personally put mine in with my personal stuff. But only because we had a blocked sink once and it came up in the sink when I was washing the fleeces, and the colour of the water was disgusting! So it put me off ever even thoning about putting my clothes or bath towels in with them. Plus hay and other stuff always comes off I wouldn't want all that on my stuff.

no, but i'm really odd when it comes to washing my things. i won't even wash them with o/h's! if i had to choose though, i'd wash them with the piggy fleece items over o/h's :)) i'm a weirdo i know!

It's down to personal preference, but I wouldn't do it! I've seen the colour of the water that comes from the piggies stuff!

I don't, but that is because I have rabbits too and so have enough to a pet load. I have done the odd thing with my towels (never seen the water!) cos mine have fleece beds but are on hay. I could never keep up with the washing when they were.

Our sink does this as well. :(

I do a separate wash.... But then I separate everything re normal clothes .. I.e other halls work stuff gets it own wash dos it's a bit smelly My washer is always on lol ! And we r on a water meter but never have to pay extra ...

i wash everyones things separately. it's a habit i have. so most days it's piggy washing because they need a massive amount, then the other days it's rabbit washing, and then either mine or o/h's. oh and towels and bedding done separately to clothes :))

our plumbing in the kitchen is really dodgy and the washing machine water has to travel upto the sink before it goes back outside.. so everytime the machine is switched on, the force makes all the sink plug hole bubble up! it's disgusting! :td:

I wash the guineas stuff separate. Even if I wanted to was the stuff together the piggies stuff over fills it as it is with all their beds and stuff. It's not a small machine either:whistle:

2-3 separate piggy loads per week. They are competing with the socks which in this house are also 2-3 machine loads per week. I wouldn't wash my stuff with the piggy stuff. They get non bio and vinegar. We get Aerial and my lovely Lenor!

Definitely separate, I have seen the mess they make of their fleeces. Plus I tried to clean out both sets of girls and fit it all in the washing machine. Had a fight trying to fit it in but the washing machine won in the end. I also use a horse wash bag to stop the hair getting every where.

Blimey that's a lot of socks! Do you manage to find all the pairs? My OH is forever complaining that I do a lot of washing but he never has a pair of socks, just lots of odd ones.

I wash piggy stuff separately too - haven't actually done it but have even contemplated running the washing machine on an empty rinse afterwards too before putting our clothes in!

I love my Lenor too!

Don't get me started on the odd socks  We have so many odd socks.... They were starting to fill a basket on their own. I have loads of those little sock aires where you peg them up to dry and I do my best to pair them as they come out of the machine. So where do the blighters hide? So I now have a rule that if its partner isn't found in the next week's sock washes we bin them. Makes the lads more careful to put both their designer ones into the laundry basket.

Nope, because I used fragrance free liquid for my guineas plus I tend to get hay caught on their fleece and the odd poop.

You have made me smile reading your comments! Amongst your anger, I found the sock situation quite funny! :))
We have many odd socks too. And particularly the Primark socks have holes in.
Oo Aerial and lenor! Making us sound terrible, we only use non bio for our personal wash :xd:

We only use non-bio for own washing and the piggies get Ecover non-bio so they do better than us!

My mum always buys us socks for Christmas but we still seem to always have socks with holes in. They seem to be the only pairs that stay as pairs.
