Do you think this will be big enough? :-)

I have been a bit frivolous and ordered a second Rabbit 140! I already have one from when I had my boys. We are going to connect them side by side and put a woodsticks ramp across the 2 sides so that the girls can go from one to the other. In total the cage will measure approximately 9 ft long by just over 2ft wide. I would have liked to have made it square rather than long but it isn't really practical for where they are.

I got a fairly good deal - it was £92 online from P@H, with free delivery at present and then by using Top Cash Back I got a further 5% off, plus I have ordered today so that I benefit from the lower VAT rate - my argument to Hubby was that it was too good a deal to miss. Unbelievably, Zooplus are currently charging £160 for the same cage :{ I know I didn't pay anywhere near that when I bought the first one from them! I could have waited to see if they went into the sale with either company but ... ;)

I did consider the Rabbit 150 but we weren't certain that the shaped ends would lend themsleves to being lifted up and connected to the side of the other 140. I can't have a C & C cage because the chooks occassionally wander in if we are looking and it isn't worth the risk so this seemed to be the best option. Hopefully it will be big enough for my 4 girls :)

That will be great and I bet it looks magnificent all connected.

Do they come with the upstairs section that you can modify? - just a thought although there is alot of space already.

Can't wait to see the pics when you attach them together.

Sounds great! The rabbit 150 wouldn't have been any good if you want to connect it 'end to end' as it only has a door on the top and on the long side - not on the short side.

Looking forward to pictures.

Apparently, so himself says, we are going to simply the raise the 2 side pieces up vertically using cable ties, as certainly the first one doesn't have a side door. Not sure about the new one, although I know they have finally put front opening doors on it. I'm not quite sure how it is going to work (I rely on him for these kind of things!) but as soon it is sorted photos of both the 'supersized' cage and the my girlies will be sure to follow :)
