The edges have been well sanded with very fine sandpaper. I've ran my fingers across them and they are really soft so not worried about little feetsies...but thank you xYou might want to cover the edges of the hole with tape or something though; they do look a little sharp! I have a couple of those boxes at home, if my piggies weren't outdoor piggies I'd give this a try ;p
I'm in Northern Ireland....so as much as its summer it might as well be winter most days lol. It must be so nice to actually have a warm and dry couple/few months! XI am actually thinking that the idea of having the top on in Winter might be a really good idea.
For me I am not sure about year round, as it is currently super hot here, but in Winter it will be a different story and I bet the pigs would love it.
That's a good idea, I'll do that just to be sure. I've been checking it every day when cleaning it out and there has been no condensation at all. It seems to be working really well so far and a lot less poops and pees in the other part of the cage so seems they like using it to do most of their business . Plus keeps the hay contained really well! Think it's a keeper lol xYou could always drill holes in the top so they would have the cover but ventilation as well. Was thinking about buying a dog bed to upturn as a hidey.Just check for condensation in warm weather
